Bianca Gillin, Melissa Horton, Kristyn Jones, Simone Kain and Anna Mitchell all have a passion for creating. As ‘soloists’ they rarely have the opportunity to collaborate with other artists in day-to-day proceedings. The Sole Sisters Collective enables them to break free from the artistic restrictions imposed on them in their working lives, and allows them to work together to explore themes with total creative freedom.
The Sole Sisters Collective's next exhibition will open on Friday 31st August 2012 and will be held at the award winning The Old Mount Gambier Gaol in Mount Gambier. The Sole Sisters are pleased to announce the inclusion of four local guest artists – local designers Ben Hood from HelloFriday, Julia Reader from Genesis Creative, Talie Teakle from Gunhound Ink and Lana Bowering from Rokset Industries.
Titled 'Mix Tape - A Mash up of Art and Music', this exhibition will explore music through art. Each artist will be creating artwork based on songs of their choice.
In the meantime we will be posting progress of our exhibition and workshops we do in preparation for August in our blog which you can view here. |
